China Petroleum Development Corporation to Build Phenol Plant

Taiwan, China: China Petroleum Development Corporation (CPDC) plans to invest USD 987 million (TWD 30 billion) to build a phenol plant in Jiangsu Province, China.While the board of directors of the company have approved the investment plan, its still awaiting approval from authorities in Taiwan and China. The company will use funds to a sum of TWD 11.5 billion and will seek remaining funds from other sources.
