Application of metallurgical slag as flux in production of ore sinter and pig iron

摘要

Possibilities of using metallurgical slag in various technological processes of integrated steelworks have been presented. The most universal application is the magnetic fraction of steel and pig iron scrap which has been recovered during slag screening. There exists a theoretical and practical possibility to apply converter slags as flux in departments of sinter manufacturing and blast furnaces.
