摘要

Proper temperature distribution in the resistance-arc furnace has fundamental significance for the ferrosilicon process and it is necessary for correct course of physico-chemical processes in reaction zones. Thermo-electric model of the charge heating in the resistance-arc ferrosilicon furnace with assumption that non-source electric DC field and temperature field are coupled. Calculation results with using of FLUX2D software for 2D finite elements method it have been presented. Temperature and current density distribution in the furnace, as well as influence of electrode position, from of charge surface, and electrical resistivity on electrical and temperature fields in the furnace have been shown.
