Dimensional stability of concast steel products

Process control system is formed by process indexes and stability testing of convexity, skewness, comer radius, surface of transverse section and dimension of sides - shape elements of concast products. Tests were carried out which of these elements and why are normal distributed and which are distributed different. The effect of different measurements on recalculation results is described. Investigations were illustrated by real distributions which were compared with normal distribution. Obtained results were compared with requirements of buyers. Total investigations were based on 600 measurements of 100 concast products. Investigations carried out in agree with Concast Standard AG company were also utilized for elaboration of this paper.
