Properties of hot-rolled strip made of 20GYuT steel and their evaluation

The paper presents a aualimetrical method for auality assessment of hot-rolled 20GYuT steel strips, 5 to 8 mm thick, made from contmuous cast slabs. The mechanical properties such as ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and hardness (HRB) were taken into account as the indicators of auality. Weighting factors were distributed evenly between the indicators and a complex auality indicator were calculated for every strip thickness. It was found out that auality of hot-rolled strip corresponds to a level "good" on the empirical scale of auality. There were no significant differences in auality of strips with different thicknesses.
