Separation of silver(I) from photographic waste water by solvent extraction processes

摘要

The solvent extraction of silver(I) ions from synthetic nitrates(V) solution and photographic waste water containing various ions as iron, sodium and potassium has been carried out. Cyanex 47IX (triisobutylphosphine sulphide) was used as the extractant. The extraction behaviour of silver(I) was compared with iron(III) ions. The influence of the nature of diluents on the selectivity extraction of silver(I) with Cyanex 47 lx has also been studied.
