Problems connected with screen of steel Stream before secondary oxidation during continuous casting of steel have been discussed. The results of samples taken from finished products in Zawiercie steelworks SA confirm that screen of the Stream between ladle and tundish contributed to even 50 percent decreasing of oxygen and nitrogen content in steel in comparison to steel casting without screen of metal
