"Location, location, location"-it is a familiar refrain in the real-estate profession, and it was what made 500 New Jersey Ave. N.W. m Washington, D.C., so attractive to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Located just three blocks from the U.S. Capitol, the parcel was chosen for the NAR's new corporate headquarters-despite its narrow triangular shape, strict zoning requirements, and status as a brownfield site, the result of contamination from an underground fuel-storage tank during its days as a gas station.
