Building codes, standards and ASHRAE best design practices can sometimes be at odds with each other. For example, ASHRAE 90.1 - Energy, 62.1 - Ventilation, and ASHRAE Applications 2007 increasingly require that more outdoor air be introduced into buildings, at lower dew points, using less energy. These new requirements create challenges for the proper control of moisture.
