Summary of LEED-NC Version 2.2: Revision of LEED for New Construction will impact pursuit of credits

The U.S. Green Building Council's membership has approved Version 2.2 of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for New Construction (LEED-NC). All projects registered from Jan. 1,2006, forward must use Version 2.2. This column will look at some of the most important changes impacting LEED projects. Some of these changes will make earning a credit easier, while some will make it harder, and others will affect documentation. All of the modifications in Version 2.2 have been reviewed, but only those that affect how an individual credit is earned are summarized in this article.
