摘要

Recent decades have increasingly seen principles from biology influencing theory in other disciplines. Taking two examples, in economics, evolutionary game theory now rivals traditional rational choice theory and, in computer science, evolutionary methodology has also become a valuable tool [0005] and [2] . In both of these cases, and others, selection theory is being applied and, if one were searching within biology for a process with broad applicability, then this seems a clear candidate.
