Cyclotron-produced radioisotopes for PET

摘要

Twenty years ago,radioisotopes were available only in the large physics research centres owning particle accelerators(cyclotrons)or nuclear reactors.Today,the increasing clinical application of PET radiopharmaceuticals has rapidly raised the number of compact cyclotrons throughout the world.The most commonly used cyclotron-produced PET radioisotopes and the radiosynthesis of some relevant PET radiopharmaceuticals are discussed here.
