The medal is awarded to a financial RACI member for the most outstanding PhD thesis submitted in a branch of chemistry,chemical science or chemical technology in the previous 13 months.The PhD may be approved,but not necessarily conferred.Nominations should be through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) or equivalent and include a copy of the thesis,a citation on the work's significance and a justification of the nomination.
