Sustainable, Secure and Competitive Energy: EU Energy Policy, Public Services, Effective Regulation

摘要

The article presents the challenges faced by the European Union with respect to its progressive creation of an integrated European internal energy market. Increasing competition, lowering the prices, providing sustainability and security of supply should benefit EU citizens and the EU economy. An important aspect of energy liberalisation is providing major advantages in terms of security of supply and high standards of public service.
