Over the last two months Derrick Bailes has outlined the options available to the potential purchaser of an electric overhead travelling crane (EOTC) and looked at the decisions which need to be made about the type of crane and the information the supplier will need. This month he looks at the process of installing and commissioning the crane, personnel training and routine in-service inspection and maintenance.
