摘要

Metal cladding is widely practiced for providing deposits with special characteristics to enhance the service life of components, operating in harsh working environments involving corrosion, wear, etc. Metal cladding is carried out using several cladding processes. Electroslag cladding is a technique, which offers several advantages leading to increased productivity, better quality and lower cost. This paper gives a brief review of the electroslag cladding process and the experimental work carried out to study the influence of process parameters on the bead geometry and clad deposit properties.
