Down through the millennia people have lived on the Danish island of ?r?. Some of the very earliest traces of Danish ancestry are found on this very spot. At the end of the Ice Age the environment was ideal for reindeers and attracted humans from surrounding hunting grounds. The first traces of people date from 11,000 years ago. Proof of their existence can be seen in finds of arrowheads deep in the island soil.
