The Medal shall be awarded annually to a financial member of the Institute who,in the opinion of the Board of the Institute,has contributed significantly towards the development of,or innovation through,applied research or in industrial fields.This contribution shall be judged on evidence submitted to the adjudicating panel who may seek referees' reports.
