A pittsburgh tradition

Growing up in the Pittsburgh area is full of memories of many holiday traditions. Kauf-mann's window displays, light-up night, train display at Buehl Planetarium, Nutcracker performance, Homes Tree, PPG skating Rink, and Phipps Conservatory. While many of these old holiday traditions are gone or changed, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens continues the holiday tradition with their Winter Flower Show that runs from Thanksgiving to early January. I visited the conservatory during the day and night. The candle-lit walkways and live entertainment in the historic conservatory was a delight at night while we listened to the flute quartet play classical holiday music.
