Summer is over, vacations are finished, and now it's time to start thinking "head for the indoors." Your indoor plants must take to the indoors for protection from the cold. Start bringing them in as soon as possible so you are not rushed and can do agood and proper job of it. The first thing you want to do is pick up the plant and inspect it for insects. If there are spiders on the plant, you can control them with a shower of cold water. Then wipe the foliage clean with a sponge. Or, you may want to shine the foliage with a solution of milk and water, which I do.
