A pot experiment was conducted to study the effect of phosphorus and molybdenum on growth and yield of Rhizobium inoculated blackgram and greengram crops at Agricultural College, Bapatla during Rahi 2003-2004. The treatments consisted of four levels of P (0, 20, 50 and 75 kg P_2O_5ha~(-1)) and four levels of Mo (0, 0.5,1.0 & 1.5 kg ha~(-1)) totaling to 16 treatments. A basal dose of N (20 kg ha ') was applied uniformly to all the pots. Dry matter production, number of pods plant~(-1) and seed yield increased significantly with increased levels of P and Mo in both crops. The treatment combination of 75 kg P_2O_5 ha~(-1) and 1.5 kg Mo ha~(-1) was found to be beneficial for both the crops.
