CO(SOY) 3 - LOCATION SPECIFIC HIGH YIELDING YELLOW MOSAIC RESISTANT SOYBEAN VARIETY

摘要

Soybean culture TNAU S 7 was derived from pedigree method of breeding and cross derivative of UGM 69 x JS 335. The culture recorded an average yield of 1366 kg/ha with a high oil (24.3%) and protein content (40.25%) and recorded an yield advantage of22.9 per cent over the check Co 2. Besides its high yielding ability with medium duration, it was also resistant to yellow mosaic virus. Hence, this culture TNAU S 7 was released as Co(Soy) 3 for cultivation in the districts of Erode and Coimbatore.
