摘要

Blackgram is an important source of protein in vegetarian diet of Indian population. The seed yield of blackgram fluctuates with environmental variations, so the knowledge about the extent of fluctuations of yield and yield attributes over different environments is very important to identify widely adapted genotypes. Seed yield is quantitatively inherited character and there is considerable interaction between genotypes and environments. Multilocation testing of genotypes provides an opportunity to plant breeders to identify the adaptability of a genotype to a particular environment and also the stability of the genotype over different environments. The present investigation was therefore undertaken to identify stable genotypes under different locations (Dharwad, Bidar, Bailhongal) for seed yield and yield contributing characters.
