摘要

Mesta (Hibiscus sabdariffa (L) an important cellulose fibre crop is grown in a considerable area in the North coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. Yields are stagnant during recent years and as such, genetic manipulation is required to improve yields. Information about the association studies along with path coefficients is a prerequisite to know the association among yield components and their direct and indirect effect on yield. Such studies are limited in mesta and hence this study was taken with16 F_2 crosses of mesta.
