摘要

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) is self pollinated crop and the scope for exploitation of hybrid vigour depends on the direction and magnitude of heterosis involved. Heterosis will have also a direct effect on the breeding methodology to be used for varietal improvement. Considerable research work on hybrid vigour has been reported from Western countries by many workers (Weiss et al. 1947; Weber et al. 1970). An attempt has been made in the present investigation to estimate the extent of heterosis in a six parent non-reciprocal diallel involving adapted cultivars CO 1 and CO 2.
