The energy forum held at the International Conference of Electronic Materials (ICEM 08)provided me with a plethora of background material and provoked the views expressed herein concerning the potential imposition of 'new rules' for the developed economies on those that are emerging. The Garnaut report adds more fuel to the fire in the Australian context.
