I was always broadly interested in science,but with respect to chemistry I have to confess that I was into making fireworks and bombs.When I was about 10 years old,I discovered that potassium chlorate and sulfur will detonate when impacted,while potassium chlorate and red phosphorus will ignite on gentle stirring.I would have had a fit if my own children had been so stupid.
