2002 Bayliss Youth Lecture: diamonds, drugs and dirty deeds

In 2002 the Bayliss Youth Lecture presenter was a prominent analytical chemist, Associate Professor John Watling from curtin University. Professor Watling has over 25 years experience in applied analytical chemistry, specialising in spectroscopy and spectrometry. He is also a co-developer of gold and diamond fingerprinting technology and author of oer 80 refereed international papers on analytical chemistry and environmental pollution. Part of his lecture is presented here.
