Novel approaches to chiral cyclopropanes

The Rennie Memorial Medal is awarded annually to the member of the Institute who in the opinion of the Council of the Institute has contributed most towards the development of some branch of chemical science. The medallist must be under 35 years of age and have been a member of the RACI for more than five years. Such contributions are judged by the research work published during ten years immediately preceding the award. The Rennie Medallist for 2001 is Dr Dennis Taylor and the following provides a short account of one area of Dr Taylor's current work.
