In the limelight: part 1 GFP and the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry

摘要

Green fluorescent protein's long journey from obscure observation to Nobel Prize has the landmarks of many human pursuits: teamwork, technology and some wasted talent. The 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Osamu Shimomura, Martin Chalfie and Roger Y. Tsien. Many other people were involved and also deserve mention in the story of GFP.
