World Hereford Conference Young member reports

The excitement had been growing for what seemed like forever and finally, thanks to the Hereford Society, James Ludgate, Hannah Braithwaite and I were off to the World Conference in Calgary, Alberta! We were up and ready to leave for Gatwick at 4.00 am, and we set off at 8.45am on our 9 hour flight! We landed at Calgary International Airport and found that each hotel provided a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the hotel; we even managed to get one to ourselves! After a short journey we arrived at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel. We spent our first week there which was the main base for the Conference. Naturally, we thought it would be best to start off by having steak and chips for lunch! Once in our rooms we collapsed on queen sized beds at 4.00 pm and managed to sleep until 6.00 am.
