摘要

The paper discusses the mathematical models of blood flow developed at the Kiev University, i.e., in small-diameter vessels (arterioles, venules), in capillaries and microcircular cells, that in explicit form take into account the processes occurring in blood at the level of its microstructure. Also discussed are the results of numerical investigations of the rheological behavior and flow of blood in the system of microcirculation that were per formed with the help of these models. The models can be used for diagnosing certain diseases and controlling the efficiency of the therapy used.
