Manslaughter conviction following consultant's failure

The HSE has criticised an independent health and safety consultant following the death of a worker which led to a manslaughter conviction for a construction director. Last month Southwark Crown Court sentenced Conrad Sidebottom, the commercial director of Siday Construction Ltd ('Siday') to three years and three months for manslaughter.
