There is a greater emphasis on worker involvement in the latest draft of the planned replacement for the OHSAS 18001 health and safety management systems Standard. The latest draft of ISO 45001 was released by the BSI for public consultation in late March (the consultation was due to end on 1 May 2015, after we went to press). International responses to the first consultation on ISO 45001, carried out last summer, revealed some significant concerns over the draft text. This led the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to move quickly to this second round of consultation.
