摘要

Water,whether confined or in contact with surfaces on a nanometre scale,is of paramount importance in a variety of scenarios.This includes phenomena within the earth's crust as well as in the biosphere,regarding cells,proteins and membranes.Noteworthy,there is the option to get relevant information with respect to both interfacial as well as confined water by investigating water interactions at the surfaces of nanoscaled hy-drophilic metal-oxide based clusters.
