5.6 million pounds in compensation paid to blacklisted workers

A first tranche of payments totalling 5.6 million pounds has been paid in compensation to UCATT members blacklisted by major construction contractors. Some 71 people received an average of nearly 80,000 pounds in compensation for having their private information misused, being defamed and for loss of earnings.
