Between 100-200 cases of Legionnaires' Disease are reported in the UK every year, and one of the major changes in preventing the disease is the introduction of HSE's water management programme.Legionella is often due to the re-circulating of hot and cold water, particularly in large, complex water systems found in hospitals, hotels, office blocks and factories, and inappropriate water treatment.
