Few companies hold anything like as detailed data about their grey fleets as they do on their regular fleets, according to Dr Will Murray, research director at Interactive Driving Systems, who kicked off Brake's one day conference in Solihull on 5 June. Employers often know the registration numbers of employees' vehi cles, but little else, Murray warned. Karl Anders, fleet consultant at the Energy Saving Trust, took to the podium to explain how his organisation is helping firms fill this gap.
