Carillion to pay 180k pounds after traffic sign collision

An incident in which a motorcyclist collided with traffic notices on a Suffolk road has cost one of Carillion's highways maintenance subsidiaries more than 208,000 pounds in fines and prosecution costs. Glynn Turner was riding his motorcycle south on the A12 on the evening of 7 June 2010 when he ran into the signs at a road closure at the junction with the B1121 near Saxmundham.
