Council worker killed by digger driven against one-way system

DUDLEY Metropolitan Borough Council has been fined 50,000 pounds over the death of a council employee run over by a wheeled shovel loader. Maintenance manager George Pagett suffered massive internal injuries at the council's depot in Netherton in October 2006 when Michael Lilley, a fellow council employee, hit him while driving at 8mph the wrong way up the site's one-way system.
