Siemens Wind Power and engineering firm Fluor have been ordered to pay more than 1 million after a worker was killed and another seriously injured when they were crushed by a 2.1 tonne frame used to transport wind turbine blades. On 21 May 2010, Fluor, the principal contractor on the construction of the Greater Gab-bard wind farm off the Suffolk coast, was struggling to place the turbine blade on the outrigger of a barge at Parkeston Quay, Harwich, Essex.
