Lords fail to head off civil liability changes

PLANS to make it easier for businesses to fight compensation claims for work accidents are set to become law. A clause in the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill survived an attempt by the House of Lords to remove it, before the bill received Royal Assent on 25 April.
