摘要

AN incident in which more than two tonnes of metal fell on and crushed a worker has landed a lorry-trailer manufacturer with penalties of more than 33,000 pounds after it failed to provide proper training for staff handling unusually long loads. David Jones, an employee of S Cartwright and Sons (Coach-builders), was helping to move a stack of 6.7m metal strips - used to build lorry trailers-onto a trailer in March 2008.
