摘要

SUPERMARKET giant Tesco has been handed a 20,000 pounds fine after an employee lost the tops of two fingers in a dough-dividing machine. Anthony Nyboer was working in the in-store bakery at Tesco's branch in St Oswald's Road, Gloucester, when the incident happened in February 2007. He had lifted the machine's lid and put his hand inside to remove some leftover dough. The interlock switch that should have stopped the machine operating while the lid was open was defective, and the blade sliced off the top part of two fingers on his right hand.
