Arctic challenges and problems of polar science

摘要

What is the current socioeconomic situation in the Arctic against the background of the climate dynamics and geopolitical conflicts that have developed in the last two decades? This paper considers the tendencies of climate change, maritime shipping, the development of oil and gas projects on the shelf, and demographic processes in the Russian Arctic, as well as the state of research and training of specialists for work in the Arctic and recommendations for the development of polar science.
