Robots in medicine? This seems fantastic. However, robotic surgery is the main innovative trend in modern medicine. It is rapidly developing and spreading to different fields, and has been highly successful in urology, orthopedics, cardiology, and abdominal surgery. Specific achievements of robotic surgery in our country and abroad and prospects for its development were covered by the author of this scientific paper heard at an RAS Presidium meeting.
