As we enter the second half of 2006, ethanol and E-85 are getting increasing attention in discussions of the nation's fuels policy. The U.S. oil and natural gas industry, in concert with the agricultural industry and several environmental groups, agreed to the historic Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS), which became law one year ago as part of the Energy Policy Act and significantly increases the ethanol content in our nation's gasoline pool.
