U.S. Spot Aromatics Prices End Week Mixed

U.S. spot aromatics prices had mixed results last week, just as crude prices on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and ICE Brent markets showed mixed results.Spot benzene prices remained unchanged, at $1.38/gal, while spot toluene prices fell about 4%, to around $1.65/gal, after having risen previously due to blendstock demand. However, spot xylene prices jumped about 17%, to around $2.15/gal, as isomer demand in Asia kept mixed xylene prices strong in the U.S. and Europe.
