Sunoco Posts Profitable Q4

Philadelphia-based refiner Sunoco announced fourth quarter 2008 net income of $204 million, compared to a net loss of $9 million for the same period in 2007.For the full year, Sunoco's net income was $776 million, 13% less than 2007's net income of $891 million. However, excluding special items, 2008's net income was $874 million, 5% higher than the net income of $833 million for 2007.
