SURVEY: PUMP PRICES NOT HIGH ENOUGH TO CHANGE SPENDING HABITS

An overwhelming majority of Americans, 88%, say that rising gasoline prices are a concern for them, according to the Cambridge Consumer Credit Index. Only 10% are not concerned about energy costs, a recent survey revealed. But when asked if they will need to make sacrifices or cut back on their spending to offset the higher cost of gasoline, only half said yes, an indication that the economy is improving, experts said.
